Northern California Vacation

Hello all from California. We've been having a wonderful time. We were able to go up to Napa and tour the wine country. It's gorgeous up there. My dad would love the golf courses in the middle of all the vineyards.

Then we went into San Francisco and bummed around.

Our next adventure was the Monteray Bay Aquarium. Grandma Marsha went with us and we saw awesome ocean life. They have a new display called the Secret Lives of Sea Horses. It was awesome. But I think Andi's favorites were the Otters!!!

Yes that leafy thing is a sea horse...weird eh!!

The next evening Andi and I were able to go with Marsha into the city to see WICKED. This was my second time seeing it and it was better than I remembered. Andi absolutely loved it and we had a great time.

Tomorrow we are headed to an Oakland A's ball game so I guess you can say we are having fun. We'll need time to relax when we get home. Too bad school and work start right away.

Brigs was born on June 12th, he weighed 7lbs 2oz, and was 18.5 in long. He's got very cute dark hair and we can't wait to see if he hangs onto it or if he loses it like Brex and goes blonde.

We had an awesome time at the happiest place on earth. We already want to go back. Thanks Grandma for the wonderful trip and when we got home we had a great new surprise and addition to our family. Bryson and Hayden had their second son Brigdon Parry Jensen and he's sooo cute!!!

VIOLIN RECITAL

Andi's violin recital was tonight and she did such a great job. She's got a wonderful talent and I hope she continues to have fun playing. Here is a video of the two pieces she played. The first one is called Blackberry Blossom and she hadn't practiced that one a ton cause she was convinced she wasn't playing it. And if any of you know Andi there is no arguing with her when she has something in her head. I don't know where her stubborness comes from!!! :) :) The second song she plays is Bourree by G. F. Handel and this is the piece she knew she would be playing. I hope you all enjoy...I think she did a FABULOUS job!

Sorry folks for the delay... I know my goal was to update monthly... but as you can see I got behind... Anyways, all is good in the Dschaak household. We had a great time in Richfield over Easter and we are all just getting ready for school to be over and summer fun to begin. Chris's masters thesis is finally published and he is BUSY BUSY working on projects in the lab for his PhD stuff. I am just working away nothing real new and exciting there. I will try to be better, but don't hold your breath :)

Meet MAXIMUS DECIMUS MERIDIUS...

big name for a small guy...we call him Max. He is a Coton de Tulear. He has been alot of fun, very playful and smart. I have been wanting one of these dogs for a couple of years, and this year at christmas Chris surprised me with one. When we got him he was about 3 pounds. He is currently 7 pounds and growing fast. This breed of dogs grows to be 12-15 lbs, and has a fun clown like personality. They have a long hair coat that is "cottony" and soft and are just alot of fun.

This is a picture of what Max will look like when he's all grown up and hairy!!!

We had a wonderful christmas vacation at my parents in Richfield. Bryson, Hayden and Brexton were down for Christmas Eve and we were able to go up to their house on christmas day to check out what Santa had brought Brex. We had a great time with family and friends. I am pretty sure that we stayed up late playing canasta the majority of the nights we were there. Needless to say we needed to come home to go back to work and school to catch up on our sleep.

New Years Resolution.....

So my New Years Resolution is to be better about updating our family blog. I made myself a goal to update at LEAST once a month....so of course it is January 31st and I am gettin to it for this month....nothing like waiting until the very last possible minute.

...Dancing Queen......Young and Sweet...

Here is a cute little video of one of Andi's dancing recitals. She did such a good job and she has a lot of fun dancing around. We will even catch her dancing away in her bedroom to either the "Hairspray" soundtrack or disney songs. I know the video quality isn't the best but I think you'll get the picture.

I posted a big fun list of some of the books I have read and enjoyed, but needless to say it was erased accidentally when Chris was fiddling around with it trying to fix a few things for me. So I don't want to write it again but if any of you have some good reads let me know. I am always looking forward to a good book.
